Stiff Goldenrod (Oligoneuron rigidum var. rigidum)
The stout, unbranched stems of stiff goldenrod are 1-5 ft. tall and often occur in clumps. The rosettes of long, oval, over-wintering, basal leaves are less noticeable than the thick, leathery stem leaves. Each stem ends in a flat-topped inflorescence of yellow flower heads. May be too aggressive for small areas and will need competition. Important late season source of nectar for pollinators.
This is a new plant and may not bloom during the first 1-2 seasons.
This plant is in a 1 gallon container.
Blooms July through October
Light: sun, part shade
Water: medium
